how anyone who has lived through the past 10-15 years can begin to think muslims and islam are in the ascendancy is baffling.

it's interesting though that you feel threatened by a handful of zealots in a far away place who pose very little threat to you and yours.

you should spare a thought for many of the world's muslims who face and have faced the very real threat of western - yes, us the UK - intervention in their countries.

if a muslim army had done to the uk what we have done to iraq over the past few years, your fears would be well-founded.
