He's a bit of a poser. When he was here, he relied on Fonte to do all of the hard work, running, tackling and intercepting for him. Fonte works so hard he can make almost any defensive partner look good.

His job at the heart of defence was also made a lot easier when Big Vic was playing in front of him - and Boruc spared Lovren's blushes on more than one occasion.

I'm sure I wouldn't have to do too much trawling to find a thread saying how Lovren was the star of last season and the one you least wanted to lose.

He'll hardly be the last centre back to be caught out by the movement of Aguero this season and the pass was exceptional...I'd be more questioning the keeper's position on that goal.

He wasn't all that in the 2nd half of last season really. I was more angry at his departure mainly due to the additional disharmony among the squad it caused, hence Morgan thought he could just click his fingers and do one.

I can't wait for Liarllana to get found out as well, assuming he manages to break in to that midfield of course.

How much did we get again? Most of the money for Mr Bitey?

He was one cog of an exceptional back four last season and was no more wanted than the other three.
The point (as you know) was the dissrespectful way that he decided to leave, as was Lallana's departure.

Hope his form continues.
