Sorry for mentioning a former Crewe player, Supercrewe, but it has just mentioned that O'Connor's goal for Vale was absolutely brilliant and from all of 45 yards.

I don`t know what SD has done to the team but if they play like that in the cup why not the League, followinng on BBC text we were all over them.
Should play the same team next match.
Gate was 2,600+,of those 600+ from Bolton,so how many actually paid to get in and how many were ST holders.
Did`nt go my self,cost of ticket,transport,no late transport(only taxi),but seems I missed a good game.
Co`om the Alex, the same every week please.
Went out with the best.(MANU)![]()
Nev I am ST holder for more years than I care to think about and didn't go tonight, totally fed up with poor performances and the problem is come Saturday the same starting 11 will probably lower its performance level for whatever the reason is! sounds like they played well but then Bolton are struggling as well.Originally Posted by NEVTHEDEV
I was one of 1600 who sat through the FA cup game against Wycombe last year and until things improve I would sit through another cup match and hand over hard

Well for those who didn't go you missed a great match. We could have had 3 but when the ref had to go off, we seemed to lose momentum for a while and that is when they scored.
Inman a great goal and back to his best on this showing and put in a great cross for Haber aka The Beast to score with a great header.
Ray was stretchered off which was worrying and hope he is ok.
It was like watching how Crewe really can play and well worth the money
What a cracking match last night, for the first half hour Bolton thought they were at the New Camp such was the quality of the Alex football. A wonderful two hours of attacking end to end football equal to any game I have witnessed in over sixty years. There were only two thousand Alex fans present but they were the proper fans, the moaners the barackers and the part timers were absent. I will not single any player out for praise because they all played with guts skill and enthusiasm. Admittedly I only paid thir**** pounds for last night's privilege but what a bargain. The futures bright the futures Red. COYR
120 minutes of 'real' football - the stuff that we Alex fans dream of, and which I have not seen for many months.
Negatives: We let in two very silly goals from straightforward mistakes. Defence clearly at fault.
Positives: On that sort of form we will demolish any League 1 club that crosses our path. Inman was immense for a game and a half, ably supported by Waters who was lucky to stay on the pitch - he was frustrating the hell out of Bolton and they had only one answer.
When Huber came on it looked like game over for the Lancastrians. He is a complete attacker: holds the ball well, moves round defenders, shoots hard and usually accurately, and had a head, for both positional sense and thumping the ball.
I just felt so proud of the Alex lads last night. The League Cup is so unfair though. Instead of pitting us against a skilful, animated and slick Bolton we could have had an easier task - like Man U, Leicester or West Ham. :-D
Further praise, my opinion only, for Atkinson, Noland an
AL sums it up pretty well for me.
We played really well last night and should have and deserved to win. Lots of positives and going forward if we can put performances in close to last night then we will be ok.
The first 20-30 minutes was all us and we should have been out of sight. Inman absolutely terrorized their right back. Good Goal as well. Our midfield bossed this period, they all wanted the ball and were confident on it.
Referee went off which allowed a stoppage and Dougie Freedman got hold of his players. Bolton then took control of the game until half time and got a deserved equaliser. Garrett in no mans land at the back post.
Second half was much more even. We hit the bar for the second time but couldn't seem to get Inman into the game as much who really was key last night. Beckford scored and then Haber scored from a lovely cross from that man Inman in the last minute. Great to see us fight and come back into a game. 1 thing i did notice is that we looked better defen
I was too far away to assess who's fault it was for the first goal but I can't blame Garrat
for the 3rd goal, Guthrie lost his man by ball watching and it gave Beckford a one on one situation
Again, a great and enjoyable game especially before the ref went off.
Well done lads
