Gary Neville "the best legue in the world"

Makes me laugh every time I hear it on the adverts.

Part of his and the others contracts, or are they truly as deluded and ignorant about the game, as a lot of people are starting to conclude?

I certainly have no interest whatsoever in the Prem.
Made me puke listening to 606 full of Manure fans crying, complaining and moaning
I have to say I enjoy the Div 4 stuff...real footy IMHO

I think he's been bought. "The best league in the world" but the England team are clueless/gutless/not world class. Chris Waddle got it right during the World Cup.

I do believe that it gets harder and harder to justify the 'best league in the world claim' apart from obviously needing it in advertising campaigns. The English clubs performance in Europe last season was woeful, the Bundesliga and the Primera Liga outperforming them. Television audiences in the far east have done a downturn and the clubs up for grabs at the moment, Villa and J3 of the M27 (I presume) are attracting zilch interest. Interesting times ahead for the Premiership I suspect.

I don't think Gary Neville has the best legues in the world at all.

Gaz Nev is a smart man, he knows just how bad the English top flight is compared to the German and the Spanish top divisions.

Spain may not get the attendances we do but are technically far superior. Any team outside the "untouchable 7" in the Prem would probably get relegated in La Liga.

The Germans know how to do fan engagement properly. I'm hoping to get to Dortmund next year to experience the Bundesliga atmosphere myself.

You may not like the Premier League but no other league has as many good teams as the PL. It's not just the top four. There's Tottenham and Everton. On a good day Aston Villa Sunderland, West Ham and them down the road could beat La Liga teams that aren't Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletico Madrid.
