    Made his as a central midfielder, was signed, presumably, as a central midfielder and imo that's where we saw the best of him.

    Which leads me to question why you sign someone having watched him play in position A and play him more often than not in position B.

    A bit like buying tiles for a patio, changing your mind and sticking them on the roof imo.

    Agree with the above post. I think he grew disillusioned with playing poor football under a manager who didn't utilise him.

    From the Bbc Website;

    Mohamed Diame, who joined Hull from West Ham on deadline day, has spoken about how he can't wait to get started with his new club once he returns from international duty with Senegal.
    The 27-year-old told the Hull website: "I'm very excited to be here and I have been waiting for this moment to sign. I want to thank the manager and the owners for showing belief in me and now I will make sure I repay that faith on the pitch.
    "It's a new challenge for me and one that I am looking forward to. I want to play football and Hull City do it very well."

    The BBC website is wrong, Diame was undisclosed but around 3.5 million...it was Hernandez we paid 9.5 million for

    Says alot about the player when you can pick out the odd good game he had.

    1 or 2 great games a season. 36 games below average.

    Whippet munchers told us as much when we signed him and they were right.

    When we signed him didn't we have a few Wigan supporters on here saying that he was hot & cold and seemed disinterested in the final season with the club?

    re: Bye bye Diame

    Diame having a good old moan (see link). Have sympathy with him playing out of position (when did he play upfront?), but he must ask himself why was he misused? Especially considering some of the sh1t got selected in front of him. He has all the makings of a BFS style player. Big, powerful and quick so should have been a match made in heaven.

    Hull must be pleased, as he is basically saying he has signed for them so he can playing and sign for a bigger team. Whilst most players think that, never wise to say it so obviously. - view external link

    The irony is we may well have seen the best of him playing in front of Kouyate & Song.

    Then he could have gone to the big club he so obviously deserves

    It's a bit like dating a bird & saying to her "make me look good at the club, babe. I'm trying to pick up a much hotter bird than you"
