I hope we don't break the bank for him. he may well be the captain but I'm not sure I'd class him as a 'key player'. he's one player we should be looking to improve on in the long term imo.

if it's a money thing, see what's on the table in January. I think he's very lucky to be in such a good team with everyone around him signing contracts.
