A couple of thoughts (a) since they started in the 1890's then technically East Midlands derbies have spanned three centuries and (b) has anyone other than you ascribed legendary status to Craig Boys on in this respect??

As we head down the A52 to face our local rivals tomorrow, it is without a doubt that '5-0' will be bandied about all over Nottingscum. A certain player 'earned legendary status' that afternoon. Or at least, apparently he did. Craig Bryson became the first player to score a hat-trick against the Red Dogs in two centuries, and that day will never be forgotten. But is scoring three goals against your rivals really a feat fit to place you amongst your club's best ever players?
Whilst I am not saying that it is an easy thing to do (there is a reason it took someone so long to do it), I just think earning legendary status on one afternoon's work seems a little unfair. I am a young Ram, so never got to see our true legends grace the Baseball Ground/Pride Park turf (in fact, I never visited the BBG, I'm that young!) But seeing my parents' or grandparents' faces light up when mentioning Hinton, Mackay, Todd, Eranio, Stimac et al makes it incredibly obvious how talented these players were.
