    Ignore him, he is the most negative poster ever. We are top of the table and he's still moaning. If we got promoted then went on to win back to back titles, champions league and did the Quadruple, he would still find negatives.

    I'm afraid your argument is quite tenuous mate.

    Firstly, if a player is fit and has no issues during training, a regular starter and the club captain, he must be picked. I'm sure the player himself would want that. Furthermore this wasn't some League Cup game or a minor game with no consequence, this was 1 if not the biggest home game of the season.

    And as Tricky72 pointed out, there's no issue of burnout, this was after a 2 week break.

    No fault on the manager whatsoever. And though the situation looks dire, let's wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.
