Oh, I was speaking to a woman today who lives in America, she wasn't happy as she can't vote although she has a house here, pity as she was wanting to vote NO.
On saying that her hubby used to work on Wall Street and her family were all bankers (good bankers she claimed ) She was in Norway recently and said it was very expensive, f**k if she found Norway expensive heaven help Scotland if we go down their road.

I'm not going to pretend I can see the future, like many politicians do, but a vote for YES is a vote for a resilient Scotland. A Scotland that can work out it's own problems, or not, but at least they will be Scotland's own problems and not problems imposed by a majority in the South of England.

I don't know when the Oil will run out. In 1974 the general consensus was that it would be gone in 30 years. Here we are, 40 years later and they say we still have another 40 year of oil. I won't be surprised if, 40 years from now, we still have 40 years of oil. And, if Scotland stays in the union, the oil will still run out and the entire UK will lose revenue.

But, that's a side issue, as far as I'm concerned. Scotland is so much more than oil.

A YES vote is a vote for self-determination of the people of Scotland. THAT'S what's important.

Norway is expensive, form the perspective of many non-Norwegians, because it has a very strong economy compared to other countries.

The people in Norway don't find it so expensive as evidenced by the fact that they have a higher-standard of living than Scots!

I was told today Norwegians earn more but also pay 46% tax.
Salmond also wants 2,000 immigrants a month to come and live in Scotland perhaps they'll all be Norwegians looking for an even better life.

So would you rather earn 200K and pay 46% income tax, or earn 60K and pay 20% tax?

Whatever world I'm living in, it seems to be a whole lot more positive and hopeful for the future than yours.

Maybe you should give it a try?
