Yes, we were top for nearly a couple of months that season but you're absolutely right in that we really weren't convincing for much of it, which pretty sums up that whole season.

Not sure I'm confident about staying where we are, it's still very early days. Lots can happen and probably will but very happy with how things stand at the minute

But SmallytheRam if you add up all the clean sheets against Top 6 opponents (as defined by Ratty) you will find there is little difference between McClaren and Clough. These stats are meaningless and only Ratty can produce stats that show his FACTS

I was there for all of these but '57, VERY happy memories. Casting a thought back to our Nigel ad his departure last year, the Jim Smith promotion year got off to a very bad start, and there were grumblings about whether he should be moved out, before it suddenly clicked with an away victory to Brum that I attended, full of tubes from an operation the day before. The Rams were not the best team that season but IMO they were by some distance the fittest and often just overpowered better teams in the last 20 mins. The current squad/team is on a different planet in terms of quality though.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the record is for the most clean sheets in a row?

Our record is 6, so this levels it but apparently the longest record is van der Sar at United who went 14 games without conceding, blimey...

You can never win an argument against someone who " believes" something to be true, they will just reinterpret the "facts" to suit what they believe.

Anyway we all know that point of view is just taken to be devils advocate (At least one hopes so otherwise that person has some serious issues!!).
