    Here's a thought

Our improvement in the second half of last season and this season so far is all down to Nigel Clough.

How so, you may ask. Simples. If his results at the start of last season had not been so ****e, our results this season would not be better than last season.

So Ratty has been right all along. Our improved results are down to NC.

Listen I will not accept any sort of innuendo that Rattea is anything but correct in his viewpoint...we are all kidding ourselves that the Maclaren era is producing better football , atmosphere , league position and entertainment.

Remember the critical fact why it is such a miserable time to watch the Rams is that we haven't beaten anybody that is above us in the League...you might want to look at the league table today to verify this fact...its a FACT!

Well we can't have improved because we haven't beaten anybody in the top six this season. I mean we're one of the teams, and we can't beat ourselves, Forest are 6th and we drew with them, and haven't played the other 4 yet.

But because we haven't beaten them, we're not better, it's a FACT!!!

here's another FACT to support your theory roge:

last season we didn't beat the team in 1st place but it was a possibility.

this season it's not even a possibility to beat the team that's currently in 1st place.

    therefore we've definitely regressed.

    FACT.

I think we can all agree Rattea is an idiot, but we shouldn't use Clough as stick to beat him with.

Clough laid the foundations for all the success we are having now. His weakness was his lack of adventure, as in playing someone off the park going one up, changing style and trying to hang on.
He could pick a player, Martin was completely unfancied until Nigel turned his career around.

I genuinely think we would of got promoted under Nigel, but five years down the line. I don't think the fans were prepared to wait though.

Well I admire your view point, but I actually think he is where he should have started, at a league 1 or 2 club - why should fans have to pay whilst he has his 5 or on your thoughts 10 year apprenticeship? Personally I dont see him as more than a league 1 manager, too conservative in his ways.
