I may be wrong but I think you will find that as most of the streams use flash, you will need a flash player to get the streams to work on IPad. Most PCs have Adobe Flash Player but IPads and phones don't. There are some players that seem to work, I think Puffin flash player is one of them. Look for it in the app store.

Have never been able to get my IPad to play any streams however my PC works every time without wanting to create an account or provide any info. No doubt the flash player problems as Ramsall advises.
