We we poor or did Wigan do a job?

I tend to listen to RD when watching the match, and whilst we werent at our best, I found Rammage very negative (he claimed afterwards he was just telling it as it is) but I've found he does have a tendency to be over crtical, not sure when he was playing he'd have liked a pundit saying what he does!

Were we that bad? Ironically i thought we improved in the second half and had chances to win, although overall Wigan had a game plan and executed it very well.

It seems Ramage is very emotion lead. When we play well he goes a bit ott at times, and can go the other way as you're suggesting happened yesterday. He more emotionally involved than a lot of pundits, being a genuine fan of the club.

As many predicted, this is going to be a very tough campaign, at home. Fans will need a lot of patience and except that these sort of games will be pretty common. So far this is the first time we've lost, but I think it'll be a case of reli

I think it's a bit of both, Wigan didn't look a team struggling for form, far from it. They didn't give us any space at all, everytime we had the ball they had 2 players on us and Butland wasn't allowed to pass the ball out from the back which massively disrupted our usual game. But we also had far too many players off their game yesterday, Whitbread was woeful and Fozzie & Christie didn't get past the half way line.
It's only one game and taught us a valuable lesson, which I'm certain we will learn from.

Usually we have the best midfield in this league, yesterday they never turned up!

I thought Ramage was spot on myself (opinions)
I would of moved Hughes up in behind Martin myself in place of Eustace and replaced him with Hendrick .I know he scored but we had no hold up play in and around their box

We were poor all over the pitch, players looked scared to play the ball forward in the centre of the pitch. Relied heavily on keeper long balls and goal kicks. Passing was poor and easily read by Wigan.

A home defeat was going to happen sooner or later but the worrying aspect for me was that we knew what was to come and could do nothing about it. Remember Wigan had not won for 8 games before yesterday.
Rosler had already said in an interview before the game that they entire team had watched their game from last season and the last 2 Millwall games at the Ipro.

What is being said about yesterdays game is exactly what was was said when we lost at home last season. Other sides will look at what Millwall and Wigan have done and adopt similar tactics. It may well be the case that we will do better away from home but I worry when an opposition manager gives us a clue in advance of how their going to play and we cannot come up with a plan.

Absolutely spot on. Wigan absolutely cut off the ball supply by pressing us. And we knew that was coming and McC said "It will be a different game to the one on New Year's Day".

Its not the away game he was talking about Romanis. He was talking before yesterdays game about the the last time Wigan were at the Ipro. In the end the game was far too similar to New years day.
