10 things we know about Brentford & your score prediction.

1.They’re mid-table with a mixed season so far of 4 wins, 4 defeats and 2 draws. They haven’t won for 3 games although have only lost once in the last 3 with 2 0-0 draws ahead of last week’s 3-1 reversal at Bolton.

2.Their wins have all come against teams currently below them in the table.

3.Their last win was against Reading at beginning of October; a very respectable 3-1 at home.

    4.They’ve scored 16 in 14 games but conceded 19.

5.We beat them 5-0 at the iPro in the Capital One cup last season.

6.They play at Griffin Park with a capacity of 14,863.

7.Uwe Rossler was their boss up until dec 2013, before he moved up to last week’s victorious Wigan side.

8.They gained automatic promotion in 2nd placed to Wolves last season with a notable 19 game unbeaten run, losing only three times at home and all to a top 6 side.

9.Their current top scorer is Andre Gray with 3 goals.

Their No 23 is Spanish midfielder Peleteiro Ramallo. He was subbed on 65 in their last game against Bolton.

    A few more, Ellie:

    1. The famous "Beast of Brentford" was last sighted in 2009. It is bird like and resembles a dragon, or perhaps a gryphon, and allegedly lives on an island in the middle of the Thames. It preys on small domestic pets such as cats and dogs, so Ratty, its safe for you to go to this game.

    2. The last Brentford Nylons store closed in 1995. The chain famously had a 1970's advertising campaign fronted by DJ Alan "Fluff" Freeman. It was once owned by Tiny Rowland's conglomerate, Lonhro. Rowland and our dear departed Robert Maxwell were both hewn from the same stone, although only one of them fell off a boat.

    3. Syon park, which is close by Brentford, was the site of a decisive battle in the English Civil War in 1642. The royalists won and trashed Brentford in an act of post match euphoria. Will the DLF do the same?

    4. Bio artist Anna Dumitriu held and exhibition glorifying tuberculosis in Brentford earlier this year, using textiles stained with the TB virus. Ni

I think it's time to start another winning run.
I see Derby winning 3-0 Martin, Russell, Hughes.

I'm optimistic that we will return to west London and bag some goals, hopefully without conceding two first, though 2-5 would do me nicely.

    3-1 to the Rams!

Brentford will be a really strong well organised outfit. I am sure they will be one of our toughest away games this season.
I think we will win be the odd goal.
