Fulham - the not D_D or Ella Ratings

Firstly, what a fantastic away day. One of the very best and for those who went, one to be remembered. Atmosphere from pre-ko through to out on the streets afterwards was top top drawer!

First 30mins we really didnt click, and gifted them a 2 goal lead, but what followed was Derby at their best...

Roos 7 - made a great early save low to his left, but was then let down by those in front of him. Nothing he could do about either goal. Actually thought he showed great maturity not to bring Dembele down for pen and red card on the first one. Like the look of this kid for the future!

Forsyth 5 - didnt look up on the back pass, terrible mistake. At moment, not getting quality into the box either. He looks a lot like he did at start or last season. Hopefully he follows same trend as from about this time he really improved and looked the part last season

Bucko 7 - solid defending, better on the ball than Whitbread and Shotton

Keogh 9 - the skipper seems to have eradicated those silly

Watched a stream and agree with your ratings. Just wondered what your view of the 2nd goal we gave away was? Was it a poor ball for Roos to give (ie Mascerall had back to opposition and 3 opposition players close by and no Derby players) or was Mascarell at fault for losing it?

Probably watched the same stream as you ella and I don't know about you but my opinion is that it was both Roos' and Mascarell's fault, although Mascarell was more to blame.

Roos because he shouldn't be giving the ball in such a dangerous position with three Fulham players close by, and I'm not sure if there was a shout, but it didn't seem like it by Omar's reaction.

Obviously Omar was far too casual, when you have the ball on the edge of your box you have to be a lot more alert than he was, and when closed down he tried to turn out of trouble instead of playing it back again or just kicking it anywhere out of play.

Agree with all, but would have given Russell MOTM myself. The guy just never gives up.

The first half was woeful, but after half time we played better than we have for a very long time.

    Ella

For me, the error was Omar's. OK, wasnt the wisest pass Roos could have chosen but Omar did seem to ask for it so should have been more aware. He jut didnt react quick enough to the pressure. That said, I thought other than that, and as at Blackpool, he looked very accompolished. Angry will tell you that he has to be pushing Eust close for a start more often on those performances

I can see why others felt Russell was MOTM. His best game of the season too. In fact, Blackpool, Wigan and now Fulham - thats 3 consistent performances. I would say he is without doubt one of the fans favourites. Everyone wants him to do well. Honest and works his **** off for the team. Plenty of ability and end product too

Just my opinion, but I thought Brys was at his very best though. the runs he makes that create space for others easily go unnoticed

Good to have a choice of candidates for MOTM for a change!

Agree with that and think it illustrates why Omar isn't going to be a first choice for the holding berth when we play in the league. Poor pass by Roos certainly but Omar totally fluffed it. I think it will be a while before he makes another start. Eustace would have seen it out.

    Here's mine:

Roos 7 - good stop around the 10 minute mark. didn't have a great deal to do but did it well.

Christie 9 - was a menace all night and played more like a winger. him and JR destroyed them on our right.

Keogh 8 - made a couple of ***** blocks in the first half.

Bucko 8 - coincidence that we played scintillating football with him back in the side? I think not. many times when Whitbread would have gone back to the keeper bucko made a telling pass. he understands the system perfect and we looked a much better team with him in it.

Forsyth 6 - woeful backpass for the goal and terrible 1st half but I've been a tad generous because I thought he showed great character in the 2nd half to come back from his mistake and raid down our left. strong 2nd half.

Omar 5 - not so generous here. his all round display wasn't that bad but along with some good passing in the 1st half, some completely aimless balls that left you thinking 'what on earth was he trying to do there?!' and then th
