Agreed. I think they need to ask some questions.
Bring back Bob Jones. He had 3 forks, a push mower, 3 long lines wrapped around old big screwdrivers, an old white lining machine and some elbow grease.

I think we have been done.
It looked bad.
It played heavy.

Scoular, considering the amount of rain it played well. In fact last season that game may've been postponed.Originally Posted by Scoular1

Heavy you say, ahem.. Baseball Ground in the 70's anyone??![]()
Perfectly playable today.
Scoular is right though. Looked bad, and the passes were looking laboured and slow...might have just been the players though.

Gun.WTF has Baseball ground got to do with anything ?
Wasn't there was drainage installed, seems a bit ineffective to me.I for one (and not alone) am disappointed that it is, as it is,so early in the season.
Bring back the 'umps!
So the water drained off and into the terraces - and us kids were sometimes knee deep in water if we forgot our little standing tables...
...but we was 'appy!![]()
That was pee lassie
Anyway...what is the reason for having (and paying big money for) 3g training pitches when points are won or lost on FP.
What with this comment and your post about those heart-warming TV ads, I'm beginning to think you are not the romantic your ladies take you for!Originally Posted by Scoular1

The drainage looked great to me, no standing water anywhere.
There was muddy (but flat) areas but that looked like where the pitch had been mowed.
And down by the SS/FE it looked far worse than it was because Holmes managed to stay on his feet there & for someone who normally trips over a blade of grass thats quite something.
