Well, I have now read a little bit more about this case, link below and for those that think he should have admitted to the rape and apologised and showed some remorse, then as he is still admitting that it wasn't rape but consensual ***, then it may not be that surprising he didn't.
Of course the Jury came to a different decision as they had all the facts in front of them and so it will be interesting if his legal team get any redress.
I would still argue despite that, he has served his time and should be entitled to continue with his life even in football. I suppose if he does continue to play professional football, there will be many fans on both sides that will be expressing their opinion one way or the other and in that he will be punished over and over again for something he will no doubt continue to argue his innocence.
