Breaking News... Nicky Ajose signs on for the Alex until January 5th 2015. He will wear the number 35 shirt. Well done, Steve Davis. Your hard work has paid off.

At last! Let's hope they do the business - we're certainly going to look different up front for a while. The only question is, given how unready Uche was when he arrived last season, and how little he seems to have played this year, how ready is he to play?

Now please bring back Alan Tate to run the defence again Steve, and if we keep clean sheets and score a couple the wins can come!

Yes, welcome back.. We need you badly Son!

Just looked at his home club and oddly not one minute played in the the first team and wonder why he didn't go on loan sooner and to us preferably. Maybe he thought by stopping he would get some games which is fair enough.

As said the only question will be his fitness and not a long loan spell but a half fit Uche is probably better than we have now and so let him get fit playing hey. I think he will be just what we need at the moment and Walters and Inman may love playing either side of the big man.

Where will the other guy fit in?

From what I have read, he would have signed earlier in the season, although he has suffered through injuries. Thankfully, he has not figured in the first team yet, otherwise he would not be joining us. As SD says, all loans are gambles, and it might not pay off. But surely this is worth a punt.

yes, SD done well here, Ajose scored plenty in League One last season and we know Uche is dynamic, explosive and enthusiastic.

Shropshire Alex raises a good point about Uche's readiness - as Mick says it looks like he's be injured and only started playing again at the end of October (presumably we might well have tried to bring him in earlier otherwise). He played 45 mins for Watford U21 yesterday - I assume he was withdrawn at H-T because of the impending loan move.

Anyway, I'm sure we know how to manage him from last season - it helps that we know what we're getting and that we can feed off a positive experience for us and him from last season - and that the loan is for two months as opposed to just one.

Good signing, as you say and we do know what we are getting, DGFG. It will be like a fresh couple of signings and if the saying is true, a new broom always sweeps clean. Onwards and Upwards for the Alex.
