    What happened?

Wasn't able to make the match today and barely caught the last two minutes on the radio what went wrong today? was it team selection or just not on it today? I do think if we are to get an automatic promotion position we need to be more consistent. Heard Thomas got some game time how was he?

Thomas caused a couple of issues, should've scored today which would've taken us to 2-1 with good time to draw level. They were back against the wall so I suspect they woud've crumbled if we pulled one back.

They were physical and (in the words of Rammage) rattin from the get go. We started strongly, but they cam back into it and imposed themselves physically.

The ref had a bad day, Bianchi should've been booked way before he was - everything seemed to fall for them today.

Dawkins and Bryson looked very good when they came on and Hughes was the pick of the midfielders for me (from those who started). Hendrick was quiet and Forsyth needs to find the form he did from last season.

There was no lack of passion and motivation there from the boys, but Leeds executed a lot better than we did. They had a game plan (just like Wigan and Brentford) and did a job on us.

I hope Keogh hasn't done his Hamstring, he's so important to us. It wasn't the fault of the defence that we lost toda

Hendrick looked totally lost today. So did Mascarell. Ibe was good in the first half. Russell and Martin were both below usual standards.
Keogh and Hughes were the pick of our players.

Poor performance today Leeds deserved their victory, again we defended poorly in a physical battle. My MOM was Christie by a mile. Shotton never got tight enough and again we were bullied by a physical team. Disappointing that we can still be bullied, do we ever learn ?
I'm a little worried about Chris Martin he seems to have lost his confidence after the Scotland game. He needs a goal, I hope our goals aren't begining to dry up, won at Watford with two wonder goals and obviously none today. Would like to see a tap in type goal.
Today was crying out for a replacement for Martin.
Never mind still top of the league, but games like this we really should be winning!

I don't think Martin has been himself since before the Scotalnd game. The Scotalnd game just delivered another dent to his confidence

    re: What happened?

I remember a huge overreaction after the Brentford game and I'm getting the same feeling here.

I'm not worried about martin at all. I thought he was a threat all game against Watford. the only difference is that he missed a few chances.

not his day today but it wasn't for a few people.

I just thought leeds high octane and very dirty approach was enough to put us on the back foot. they managed to pin us in our own half which is credit to them.

I don't wanna scapegoat hendrick but I've said all along I think we perform better with Bryson and hughes. Bryson was terrific when he came on. he matched them for energy which is what we were lacking. I thought hughes was one of our better players on the day.

agree that Christie was our MOM by a mile. Keogh was outstanding for 40 minutes and then he dropped his gamely clanger which led to their 1st goal.

don't worry stick with the boys. we'll come good.

I'm just waiting for someone to suggest we change our formation now...

Or maybe it's a weaker and more open league this season as the table and results are proving so there will be a few results like this all over.

it's impossible for results to 'prove' it's a weaker league than last year. the only thing results can prove is that there may or may not be less disparity between the teams at the top. just because it's tighter doesn't mean it's weaker. on the contrary it shows that it's more competitive.

I suppose anyone can beat anyone on their day in this league and even when your top you lose sometimes hopefully we can get back to winning ways soon. There are some tough games coming up this month which will really tell how far we have come also we will get the chance to smash the dirty Leeds at home at end of December. COYR!

    What happened?
We were beaten by a better team on the day. Simple as...
Leeds were physical but we need to be able to deal with that.
Too many poor performances yesterday, Martin has been largly ineffective for a few weeks now. He needs to add something else to his game. If is normal game is not working, ball to feet etc, he needs to be a bit more aggresive himself.
His confidence seems to have gone, needs a goal badly.
Dont get too excited when we win a couple and i wont get too down when we lose the odd one. However we are far from the finished article, still WIP.
