    Brighton Predictions

Bottom 3 in very poor form, should be there for the taking but one never knows, I'm going for 3-1 rams.

A bit nervous for this match. Easy victory (on paper) are seldom easy. We have the quality to win every game, but I am afraid the focus is on the Chelsea game rather the Brighton game. I hope Steve keeps the lads focused. Go for a 2-0 win though.

we've hardly won the lottery on this one with Darren bent leading their forward line. that will be a test for our makeshift defence.

Whoever is selected it certainly won't be a makeshift defence !!!
I think we'll win and stay top but I don't think we'll keep a clean sheet.
I'm going 4-2 to the Rams with Chris Martin on the scoresheet to start another prolific run of goals.

bucko and Whitbread haven't played for a while and shotton's only recently nailed down a first team place. it's quite possible that the two centre backs will never have played together before...

If we take the last 6 games, we are 10th in the form table and Brighton are 14th so not a huge difference, though their league place is low they have recently drawn with Blackburn and narrowly lost to Bournemouth.

They play a very good style with a high possession rate (53.2% compared with Derby's 55.6%). They have a higher shots per game ratio than us (16.1 compared with 13.9) and a very high pass success rate (80.7 vs Derby's 81.5%). They are better in the air than us (average duals won per game 17.1 versus 15.9).

So Derby beware. With Darren Bent in their side, they may be inspired to take the game to us and catch us on the hop. They are more than capable of exacting revenge for last season when we beat them 4 times.

Hard one to predict. I'll go 2:1 to Derby but not totally convinced we'll do 'em.
