    re: Queens v Rangers

That was an amazing team performance last night. I have to eat my words from my earlier post, when i said the best we hope for was a draw! Every player done his job and more and special mention to Dan and Ian for tracking back and getting tackles in.We led the Gers a merry dance and Moshni had to cover the full backs time and time again. I'm still buzzing today, and it could have quite easily been a four or five goal victory. The Gers players should hang their heads in shame, they just were not up for the battle at all.
I just hope some of the floating fans will return for next weeks game, because this team deserves crowds of 3,000 at least every home game. Up the Queens.

I thought that was a superb performance by Queens. They have a seriously decent team at the moment. tore Therangers to shreds and it could have been a total humiliation given the number of chances missed - by Russell and Baird in particular (why oh why didn't he just take a touch and stroke it in the corner? He must not have realised he was clean through) but also that header cleared round the post by a defender. A great game to watch. I would say Queens are quite some way behind Hearts in standard but there's nobody else in the division that is any better than Queens.

Marvellous result, although with Hibs and Falkirk winning it was just as well.
Sadly I'm going to have to add this to my list of epic Queens games I didn't see, not even on TV as I was at the work XMas night out - keeping a very close eye on the score.
    Bring on Cowdenbeath...

I have to say that overall team is playing considerably better under James Fowler than under Jim McIntyre.

In particular the manner in which the back four is distributing the ball with the centrebacks splitting and the full backs pushed on into wide midfield is an outstanding tactic.

On the signing front having seen Stranraer play recently in the live cup match against Livvy I thought they had two excellent defenders (full back) who would be well worth looking at as a contingency. Stoney the young striker from Rangers on loan is another player that caught the eye.

Sadly I fear the worst on the transfer front especially after delivering such a great performance on live telly - don't mind losing young aspiring players so long as we get a fee commensurate with our efforts. Losing them for nothing is disastrous.
