    Eidur's still got it

He was the only great thing about today for me, Lonergan aside.

He came on and straight away looked like our star player.

    The man still oozes class.

Apart from the yellow card foul he didn't do a lot wrong today he should have come on sooner!

Eidur is no striker these days and I think we'll do well to get 30/40 minutes out of him, but he still oozes class and he could well be a great replacement for Mavies.

I'm not sure he'd be as effective over 90 minutes. He doesn't look very fast at all, but he's definitely still got the technique.

It was a fantastic buzz today seeing him come on for us, and he applauded all the fans at full time. What a guy!

See I'd disagree with you there danm. With the ball at his feet he was quicker and sharper than most of the other players on the pitch. Maybe it's because he's older and just uses his speed in short bursts. Tell you what as well when Lennon called him from warming up on the sidelines to go on the pitch he fkin sprinted to the dugout faster than Usain Bolt!!!!!

He looked great to me. I was expecting him to look overweight and generally out of condition at the grand old age of 36 but he just looked great.Still has the skill obviously and seemed to possess a decent turn of speed. For me his stamina is the only thing that remains in question.A massive bonus for us I think.
