    How Many Points Needed ?

I'm sure we all look back at various games with frustration over points dropped that we feel we shouldn't have. I hope they don't come back to haunt us in May.

Over the last 10 years in the Championship the minimum points needed for automatic promotion has varied greatly between 80 and 94 (to finish clear 2nd)

To get the minimum of 80 points we would need 13 wins and 2 draws from 24 games.

The 10 year maximum of 94 would need 18 wins and 1 draw from 24 games.

The average over 10 years is 87 points. To get this total we'd need 48 points from 24 games. (16 wins or equivalent)

Who knows what will be needed at the end of this unpredictable season. Could be a low total necessary.

Whatever the required total, we need to return to winning ways quickly. Looking at the remaining 24 fixtures how many wins can you perdict ?

Have you considered things like if teams at the top points accellerate or decelerate second half of the season. Also for that one club we seem to have most seasons comes from almost nowhere.
