What Eustace does is bring much needed experience to the side. You don't see him running round like a headless chicken but more often than not he's in the right place at the right time. I know Brim didn't put us under much pressure but surely part of that was because we had a strong midfielder who could defend the defense never defended too deep like they very often do without Eustace.

Good God, has no one learnt anything from the last two seasons. Every time we are in a slump,
however small, our defence looking shaky, we play Eustace and all is good again.

It happened at least four times. He quietly shields the defence and keeps the balance of the team. If you can't see that your blind.

In the absence of Thorn, Eustace should play home and away.

Well theres a couple of problems with that proposition, one we have done well at home with Mascarell in the side (Wolves 5-0 anyone??), two Eustace isn't fit enough to play all the games.

Yes he played well today and kept the defence from dropping too deep, though would have thought that was keogh's job, however he can be caught out by a pacey player and has been.

Today all the team played like we know they can, and to suggest that was simply because Eustace was in the team is ludicrous - he has his place I agree but can only be used sparingly and I'd suggest awa

    Let me clarify.

I still think Mascarell SHOULD play as our defensive midfielder in some games.

Leeds on Tuesday, if they play as they did in the away game, I'd keep Eustace in. We need his experience and physicality.

However, when teams park the bus, and Hughes, Bryson or Hendrick aren't on song, we need added creativity which Mascarell offers us.

An important factor as others have said is Eustace won't be able to play every game. I'm sure Steve will select the right games for him and Omar respectively.

Ridiculous post.. Russell or Hughes MOTM.
Everyone wearing rose coloured glasses again.
He had an average game, not bad against a team that hardly asked a question. Quite a few misplaced passes in the first half and a stupid booking in a dangerous position.. Hay ho we will ignore these facts though.

See D_D quote above; Radio Derby gave Eustace MotM. Several on Twitter gave Eustace MotM. We all watch the same game, but we don't all see the same football. [/quote]

That's me told then... Radio Derby, several on twitter & D_D!! The brains trust for sure.
DD did not say MOTM though...

Typical stats.. Okay how many of the goals against were when he was on the pitch? How does that compare with Eustace? How to you evaluate the quality of opposition? Form of the opposition at the time of fixture?

If you are going to do stats, then do stats... Half ****d attempts don't wash.
