By jingo I think he's got it.

What I meant was that when Macca signed for us we got the usual forest lot on here telling us wait till he starts buying dross and has beens then leaves (sacked or otherwise)

As for forest I believe he walked before he was sacked, after buying some dubious players in the eyes of forest fans

Now with Derby, the time has come to maybe start splashing a bit of cash he's just signed Shotton and looks like Bent might coming and on top of that we have Newcastle looking for a new manager with Macca being the bookies favourite for the

Tis a bit. You missed out Matt Derbyshire for Forest. It did add to the Forest wage bill with little no return for the following four years. If you work it out it's considerable, so it's probably down to Steve McClaren that we now have an embargo.

Yup, so much so that Greening is not there, Derbyshire is not there and Reid is your best player.

    All Steve's fault, that.

Nothing to do with your failure to attract sponsors, the tiny commercial team your run, the low attendances, the expensive to run stadium, the wages for the 2 Algerians, the constant management pay-offs, the media blackout or the CEO who said not to worry about FFP.

Well done, Steve. All that in just 8 games or whatever it was.

For forest he signed about 5 players and had about 2 points from the first 10 games. Walked before sacked.

I dont see the similarity. He will be in demand as he is having a succesful run. Its a huge club but a poisoned chalice. I think the person who enjoys success at the toon will have iconic status and the success craved is no more than top 8 and a good cup run. But i am not sure his ego would allow him to be just a coach with little say in managing.

IMO a bad choice but big bucks and a 5 year deal...who knows
