Ine a lot of conjecture about and still to prove himself

Wisdom the jury out on with most fans and decided not to return

Bamford most fans moaned about and has performed much better under a different manager.

Christie is probably the best of the bunch but seems good going forward but limited at the back. As commented by DET also recently.

Rush brought in McClaren to improve signers apparently. Now let me mention a fews.

Grant, Buxton, keogh, Bryson, Hendricks, ward, Martin etc etc etc do theses and the difference in quality ring a bell
We were in for Christie long before mcclaren came in, Thorne was also a loan target of clough. I'd agree so far that cloughs perminant signings hav

    re: Where he Gone?

Of Course we have improved under mcclaren as my second paragraph states. Wisdom and Thorne were loan targets of cloughs whilst Christie was well known to be on cloughs radar

Clough got the players in and mcclaren made them play although early signs last season under clough showed the promise (away at Yeovil and millwall)

Back in the 70s it was very similar. Peter Taylor got the players and brian clough got them to play. (maybe the other way round as I'm quoting from a DVD)

Whoever says we have not improved performance wise on the field clearly hasn't seen us play all that much

    I'm not saying he wasn't.

You can believe what you want.. Clough had Thorne as a loan target and was looking at doing a deal with Coventry for Christie before he went for wisdom and ended up getting adam smith

Mcclaren would have clearly gone out and fine his homework aswell.

Completely irrelevant as Rats assertion was that no player signed by McClaren was a first team regular and that as with many of his points is patently untrue.

Back on topic, as i thought, not a whisper from a supposed Rams fan when we get two good results in the league, ah well true to form.

Frankly this debate about improvement is pointless, the records show where we are in the league and what we have achieved over the past season and half, there really isnt anything to debate.

So why do you keep on trying to provoke Rattea to reply to the same bloody topic again and again? It's incredibly boring. Please can you just ignore Rattea's inane WUM comments?

You might like the so called banter, but I find it pointless and frankly, idiotic.

Still trying to tell others what to say and do then. You are entitled to your opinion as to what is and isn't banter but the fact remains you troll his every comment.

His posts whether true or totally inane as you put it are helping to keep this board busy and that in itself is healthy.

    Happy posting

    re: Where he Gone?

Not sure what the problem is here - apart from one Ratman post.

Thorne was a target of Clough

    So was Wisdom

    So was Christie

    So what?

Clough's limited scouting network was good, so is the current one - so you'd expect them to be looking at the same players?

Oh, and Clough didn't do the scouting. He was an average manager with a good scouting network.

so let me get this straight. despite them being 'targets' what you're saying is that clough thought adam smith was a better option than wisdom and Christie?

    says it all doesn't it?
