    McManus Appeal Successful

Stephen McManus' red card has been rescinded. The correct and just decision in my view.

Now we need to see if some disciplinary action will now be taken by the SFA against Mr Collum as this is not the first player he has wrongly sent off.

We were fortunate that the incident happened in the closing rather than the opening minutes.

Still, it just shows that TV evidence can work in favour as opposed to the Faddy case where it worked against.

Yep, he's not biased, just f****** hopeless. Every time I see his linked with one of our games, it fills me with dread.

Ithought there is a system in place where the two managers gave a report/rating on how the referee operated or is that just wishful thinking on my part

The goal still stands, adding to the negative goal difference!

A team is going to lose out on something - a place in Europe or relegation, for example - due to inferior goal difference due to a series of similar decisions over a season.

What happens then? Wait for the fireworks?

There is logic in Sammy's point. If McManus shouldn't have been sent off then, logically, there should have been no penalty. Practically, of course, there's no way you can un-award a penalty; anyway, we'd be struggling to argue that it cost us any more than a goal, but this kind of mistake could be very costly for some team, sometime. There could indeed, be repercussions.

You right. Equally 5h£t happens and it's all part of the game. We gain some and we lose some - it all equals itself out.

Would it have been such a disaster for McManus to miss some games - our fans have hardly been signing his praises - most posters say he's a waste of money.
