In that case very time a player makes any sort of contact from behind it must be a free kick!!! So Martin should have had at least another dozen or so - its a contact sport, no arms were used, your player looked amazed to be given the free kick, so it clearly wasn't a free kick, not thats a reason for us losing the game but lets be real here.

I'm going to join the support for Omar here.

He wasn't blameless second half but the blame can't be laid at his door only.

It was a failure by the team. Losing Ibe and Eustace was a blow, added to was losing Will Hughes at half time. But we have played bloody well with Bryson and Hendricks in the middle before - they were keeping Will out of the side at times last season.

It happened, bloody annoying but hey ho. What bothers me is this team are supposed to be learning but at times looks like they've forgotten everything.

The second half performance, as much as I admire Forests attitude and commitment, was down to Derby. We let them take hold, we are more than capable of keeping possession and the quality of players on the pitch was more than enough. It concerns me that we allow this to happen in a game of such profile. If we just became complacent against a routine middle table side game then okay, it happens.

    But in a local Derby?

What has this team learnt? The week before we

Firstly he did use his hands. Although, I don't see why that is relevant. Secondly, it wasn't a little nudge, he moved his man abo

To those who think that Mascarell had a stinker, I would suggest that you don't judge him on one game.Brian Laws, who is part of the Radio Nottingham commentary team expressed surprise when Robert Tesche was playing at the top of the midfield diamond and then said it was probably Psycho's game plan to nullify Mascarell. It worked marvelously as did the closing down of Grant forcing him into long clearances. Obviously we had you sussed out.

Would rather see Coutts, Shotton or Warnock tried in CDM until Thorne is fit.
I agree totally, said before the game if we try and play Mascarell as the defensive midfielder, who shields the back four, we were pretty much going to struggle, as we have every time we have tried to play him in that role.

Maybe the foul he conceded for the goal was a bit soft but he only needed to shepherd the player and there was no danger where he was.

It is clear that we need a defensive midfielder and soon, as clear as the fact Mascarell can't fill that role.

I'm not confident we will win any game where Mascarell starts as DM. I'd rather try Warnock there for the next few games so we can get Thorne back in. Buxton's lack of height is starting to concern me, he's fine when he can read the high balls but otherwise in big trouble.

WEll I don't think that is clear, for a start we have won a number of games and kept clean sheets with mascarell in the DM position.
