    Impartial Comments

I never go to The Piggery, or Castle Greyskull, so I listened to R Scotland tonight; a flavour of their summarisers comments are shown below ...
Tom English - "Yet another defensive error for that goal" - "M'Well are dreadfully, dreadfully poor and seem to have accepted they're going down to the Championship".
Packie Bonnar - "That makes it 4 nil, though it could've been 7 if I'm honest" - "Griffiths scores with a header against 2 centre backs who are 6 inches taller".

Let's face it, we're totally goosed and we all know it !!

Tons of factors come into play for me the ongoing fan owned not fan owned, the poor pre season we had also poor dealings in transfer market,so many players out of contract seem to be waving the white f--k you flag i will be out of here come summer.

Unless we can get some of these players out in the next week and replaced we are as good as gone and knock another (insert figure here) off the gate in the first division might aswell shut up shop cause we are struggling the now how will we fair in the first?

New Manager,New Ownership tends to give us all a lift a new outlook well by chri$t its not kicked in for me yet.

I know it's early days for Baraclough but I have serious doubts as to whether he is the man to get us out this mess. He talks the talk and seems like a good guy but if anything performances have got worse under him and some of his decisions in games raise huge question marks and the players look even less motivated than they did before he took over.

We needed to make the right appointment when mccall left and the right appointment was someone who could first of all shake that squad out of the malaise and comfort zone that McCall allowed them to stay in and get the very best out of what was available to him so as to keep us in the top flight, and also to bring fresh ideas and a new coaching team with him because it was patently obvious that such a change was required. I'm afraid all we have done is bring in a man who appears to be out of his depth already.

Agree with you that we should have had a full new coaching team, aye every man and their dog knows we are skint. no money bla bla, but he should have at least been allowed a new no2. We will have even less doh next season.
It has always concerned me that Black has more of an influence at the club than even SMC had, maybe even more now. the senior guys have gave up, they couldn't care less, Black wouldn't give a toss for Motherwell either. He should have left along with McCall.
Paranoid? maybe, however the way some of these guys have played over the last 6 games doesn't mean I am wrong...

Black should have been out the door when McCall walked, he was part of the previous regime which played a massive part in getting us into this mess so he too should have fallen on his sword like McCall did or else punted by the club. We needed a new broom to come in and sweep up the mess completely, instead Black, who was part of the problem, has remained in his position and nothing has changed for the better. The way we handled appointing McCall's successor was a shambles, done in typical Motherwell FC style, ie. cheap and slapdash, at a time of opportunity to change things for the better for the club, in both short term and long term.

Trying to keep a 'neutral' head on recent comments...Sutton in defence..ehhh, hes been our only recent scorer with all 4 of last goals, he is not a defender and wudnt be any better than current out of form backline. Yes the past run of 4 results is as bad as weve had when you look at the scores 1-14 deficit, however we had an ok run in Dec with 3 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses under black/barra with some signs of fight, so its erratic and we've just played top2. Does anyone know which (if any) players have a contract beyond end of this season...any who have, must have a vested interest in staying up. As for Lasley I thought against Dons was back to his best after a terrible spell. 1 query... is Moore due back from injury as he could give us an injection up front in the crucial spring fixtures. Altho the Dons beat us I thought that day we put in a decent 2nd half shift and that showing doesnt tie in with some of the recent performances! after tannadice we have 4 out of 5 home games coming up an

I don't know about baraclough being out of his depth, maybe a bit more time to bring players in who actually want to play for us and we maybe see the best of him, but there lies the problem, he can't bring anyone in because we can't afford any player's. It's only a matter of time before the board tell us we can't sign anyone because they don't know what league we'll be in next season. I think it's the people running the club who are woefully out of their depth.

Absolutely agree that there are people in positions of power within the club who are way out of their depth and not fit for purpose. The way the club is run is nothing short of amateurish.
