    Is Mac Loosing It?

I agree with Rats in another post gaps are beginning to appear. Last season Macs team selection/s and tactics were first class but this season there have been too many poor performances. A lot of games we have seen the team playing Cloughs tactics passing sideways and back. Too many teams are finding it easy to nullify us by closing us down and we have no answer to this. I know its early days but now new players have been brought in does Mac know where to play them? Last weeks idea of bringing Bent in on the he wing made many question his idea. This week we could have easily lost if Chesterfield had taken their chances. The team selection and formation in the first half was a disaster. I hope I'm wrong and Mac gets it right soon but we've had too many "blips" this season already. What do you think?

Absolutely, those few strands on the front are becoming more and more isolated from the rest

Didn't you know, as head Coach you have to be perfect all the time, only top spot is good enough!!!

Of course bringing new players into a team changes things and a coach has to work out how to use them to get the best out of them, but seeing as again some were complaining he had largely stuck with the same team from last season, surely the acquisition of new players suggests he is building the squad, strengthening areas of the team that need it?
Really do agree with this Swales.

I have been banging on about a plan B if the pretty 'pass it through them' style doesn't work since the latter part of last season.

So I'm delighted that he tried new stuff yesterday in a cup match, a match that doesn't really mean too much if we lose it. The league is the important one.

    He tried something first ha

I feel reassured that most of the posters on this site are not in a position of power at Derby County... If they were we would be in "The Conference". We are in a better place than we have been in years and still we can't satisfy some people.
