This is what some fans maybe thinking of when we can't compete on wages for the likes of Uche. But just had a look at their home gates this season and although they have had some big gates against such teams as Sheff Utd. A local derby anyway, lots of home games were around five and a half thousand and so does that make them a 'bigger' club than us? As I said if we can get rid of all the players we did at the beginning of the season, shouldn't that have freed up some extra money so that we could pay say three or four players a lot more? And would by implication attract them here which 'may' keep us in L1 as read somewhere that staying in L1 was worth a couple of hundred thousand pounds over L2?
OK we operate differently and spend most if not all of our money on the academy which incidentally DRFC don't have a Cat2 anyway. That must save them 300 grand PER season at least. We know Vale saved that sort of money.
