Just to add we actually drove there, in a 1969 hillman, took 26 hrs via Belgium, west germany,and East germany.

Jesus!!! That was some trip in those days crossing the Iron Curtain borders!!!
I crossed into Czechkoslovakia in 1980 on a train and that was friggin' scary. Can't imagine the journey in a car back in those days
