He's a top lad big Ian . Took time out to show us round the stadium once also . They should go out their way to get him back as club historian & kitman . A true Queens diehard , unlike some

Any idea how much the oldest programme is worth ?

Agree with you there aloreburn indeed the big blacko is a true gentleman always found him more than helpfull it would be great if he took the museum historian reigns back .You should start a campaign for the big chaps return.Football related items are a rascal to price needs two on the day too up the price couldn't believe the price that the Qos v rangers semifinal replay ticket got last week I wish I had a few £120 the printers must have been quick to the press with them. I have a good collection of queens related items from the 1920s to present day I'm thinking about popping them on ebay as thier just gathering dust rarely look at any of it nowadays.

Sorry Golden Bull I misread aloreburn's original question - you are spot on there exists an older away programme v St. Bernards - 1929 I think. Mega QoS collectors like Stuart Jardine will have this rare one I would expect.

Palmyman just phoned jardy he didn't have the oldest st Bernard's he had one from the next season which he sold on to you will never guess the big blacko lad .While we're on the subject off the history of the club is anyone on the case for the centenary which will creep up quickly surely your good self big blacko the Harper lad and Mr Crosbie could put together a great book .It would be a shame if the milestone is passed without a quality book not a copycat production one whith a bit off a story not just scores and team lines .whats the views off the fans on this message board.?

If I could own one piece of Queens memorabillia it would be the old blue pie hut which used to sit at the top of the Terregles street terracing. It would look great in my garden amd I could invite blackadder etc round and dispense bovril and pies in a barbque stylee... B-) b) b-)

Behave GB - you know fine well that big Blacko will never return to Palmy in any capacity and all his fellow contributors have either retired, two moved from Dumfries (one is now actually a director of Cowdenbeath), been promoted in their work and consequently have no time or sadly in big Davie Hewitt's case passed away.
However I would not at all be surprised if author Iain McCartney brought his 2004 book on the Doonhamers up to date for the centenary.

Palmyman never say never stranger things have happened.Don't no the big yin personally but no a few off his mates think your getting me confused by someone else. My behaviour is always impeccable.Surely you don't need to be involved with the queens to be a author of a book on its history as you are clearly friendly with blacko could you convince him to put his expertise towards something that I'm sure he would enjoy doing just a thought. I would imagine he would put big Mcartney to shame with his material and knowledge ?
