He's not THE problem, only a part of it.

The 'collective' problem is under GB's umbrella, and I am going to risk my neck again, and suggest that the squad is not in tune with GB's idea's. Or, put another way he's lost the dressing room (confidence wise).
It seems to me that under certain conditions he gets lucky and somehow his 'squad for the day' come good i.e. Swansea. But more often than not, there is disarray on the park as collectively they are unsure of their roles / tasks.
Having the 'guiding light' of young Hanley on there, must be a real boost to organisational confidence. That, I am thinking, is why his form has so noticeably stalled.

    Just my overview.
I'm sure we had a thread the other season saying how great Hanley was. Hmmm how times change.[/quote]

    Pretty much what Despair said.

He was pretty good next to Scott Dann and h

I have not felt this apathetic about the team since the Jim Iley and John Pickering season.

Your guts tell you when there is no point getting your expectations up anymore.

Bowyer's shortcomings tactically, managerially and lack of inspiration have killed my enthusiasm as it obviously has the players as well.

Relegation form yes. No shows yes, Defensive shambles yes.

No sign of any of that changing under Bowyer I am afraid.

No we're not. That isn't necessarily positive though. We are exactly where we ARE. Average and no more. We might win our next couple or one win and a draw. Maybe then lose one or two...you get what I mean. We will just hover around.

I think this is where we need to play the closing scene from Life of Brian

All this negativity is getting me down.

Hardly negativity Despair..a touch of reality maybe...

The only positive i can draw on is the fact that when the heat is on GB, he does seem to pull a result out to stem back the tide of growing unrest ..but that tide is now beginning to swell week by week ..hes going to need more than one good result in three to get the fans back onside

    Yes we are
But there are some dog awful teams near the bottom so we are quite fortunate in the fact we will probably stagnate in mid table because of this
Is mid table acceptable with our squad of players?
    Absolutely not
It is glaringly obvious that bowyer is here until the end of the season as paying for compo on bowyer is a no go
It's what happens at the end that counts Gary's contract expires will venkys get rid or stick?
I am sorry but the axe must fall
