Thread: Fawaz to leave Florist???

    re: Fawaz to leave Florist???

What would be the likelihood of finding a buyer for a club with obvious difficulties? Fawaz would have to write off a significant sum of money.

He may have to write off a significant amount of money, but it may be than keep dumping into a business that will take a long time to get turned around. However if he does throw in the proverbial towel what happens to Forest?

I've heard a rumour that the Council are planning to flatten their big asbestos shed and turn it over to luxury apartments, whilst they re-locate to a ploughed field just off the A453. Good plan I think.

Ella, since they dont seem to have a pot to **** in, wouldnt they be better ground sharing with the Pies??

How else are they gonna afford a fantastic new stadium up there with the likes of ours??

[quote="ellafella"]I was reading their meltdown on Twitter last night. Its just Fawaz wanting his ego massaged again, believe me. Think it went something like this (for those not on Twitter, Emad is some gimp friend of his that posts utter rubbish every day)

Fawaz - so Emad, finally got rid of that clueless clown McGovern told us was the guy to get us to Prem

Emad - Fans not taken it well tho Fawaz, some of them turning on you now

Fawaz - WHAT??? After all I have done. It was a guy on Twitter who told me he was clueless and to get rid!

Emad - I know, I know. There were loads of them saying the same. But there were loads out there not saying owt that loved him apparently

Fawaz - Oh sh!t, what have I done? Are they really calling mes?

Emad - Yes mate. They're even calling you clueless now

Fawaz - that Faulkner, he's got a lot to answer to. Where's he? Get him into my office 2moro

    Emad - Errr

I don't do Twitter or Facebook etc so took this story with a pinch of salt when it first surfaced. It's interesting however to see that the only 'official' response so far has done nothing to stop the rumours.

McGovern has been quoted as saying the comment was "probably tongue in cheek". FFS John, you're the Club Ambassador - surely a quick phone call would mean you could dispel the rumour in an instant. Now Fawaz's wife has tweeted that he is "very supportive" of NFFC. If she had tweeted "He has no intention of selling" it would kill the rumour stone dead. I'm not saying he's had enough, but all this ambiguity only adds fuel to the flames.

He's not going anywhere. If he wanted to sell the club he would have to sell at market value like Nigel Doughty did, which is a heck of lot less than he's put into the club. All we have to is knock him into shape a bit and he'll be fine.

Maybe, but when you consider he could have bought Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United in one go you can see why he might be disappointed that a moderate Championship club are down among the also-rans.

I'm sure you're right and it's all down to yet another Kuwaiti Bank Holiday.

I sincerely hope you are right, he is clueless, and bit by bit taking your club to where it belongs.
