Petrescu turned us down on Sunday...

So Dougie was bought in last minute, seems dodgy to me, how must Dougie be feeling right now,our club is poorly run and Fawaz needs to get a grip, I've never known a club to sack a manager and appoint a new one in 20 minutes, the quick appointment of Dougie Freedman was to cover up the Petrescu deal, the Brighton game will be interesting, if we get well beat then we are going down.

Es***, he turned it down because it was an initial 3 month contract.
Due to the current position, bet your mortgage on the deal being- turn it around and a new contract awaits.
Obviously he didn't want that. He tweeted this himself.

Name me one club just one that offers a manager a 3 month contract, it's a joke, i did read the 3 month contract and nearly fell over it just shows Fawaz is panicking on Premier league football, our club is years away from top flight football and if Fawaz don't realise it then he's a fool,we need rebuilding completely from top to bottom and that starts with the stadium.

Errm Es*** if you looked at the calendar - you'd realise what a 3 month contract is all about - until the end of the season.

Petrescu is untested in England - it was correct for Fawaz to offer a 3 month contract. Say he gave him a 3 year contract and of course we'll stay up, then come Sept and Oct and Petrescu finds it going tough, then Fawaz again has to wield the axe and again all the doomsayers will be out in force. 3 months, and see how he adapts and at the end of the season, make another decision.

Freedman on the other hand has managed here, has managed in this division - an 18 month contract is also short for his standard. But acceptable enough for someone with some experience.

I hire and fire people too and we take in guys with little experience and some without paper qualifications, but we give them a chance - a very short term contract with a review after say 3-6 months. Whereas someone with experience, whom we feel can and should be able to do the job, we offer a longer co

There are massive differences between your working situation and the one that presented itself to Dan Petrescu though surely? I don't know your business so might be wrong here but how many of your employees were expected to relocate from another country to work for you for only 3 months guaranteed?
Added to that I'm guessing that you haven't changed your whole staff in key positions 7 times in the last 3 years?

You are comparing yourself and your business, probably a fair and reasonable guy, with a man who clearly has none of those character traits where business is concerned?

    For example,

    1. If you had a bloke doing a good job, turning out some excellent results and knitting your workforce together would you get rid of him because your customers abroad hadn't heard of him?
Fawaz would - he did this to Sean O'Driscoll after Forest had just battered the best team Leeds have had in the last decade!

How would people view your company
