I can do that if you want, just say the word.

It appears, and for me too, Derby fans are genuinely sorry for him. Wouldn't wish injury on anyone. I do feel sorry for him as I'm sure you did for George Thorne.

Yep, never pleasant to hear, particularly with honest players who are core to a given team. I hope he comes out of it alright but you never know.
It's a serious injury, he has youth in his side, but knee injuries can end careers or at least seriously diminish them.
Barker is a miracle, but he's coming through. Will he be the same...it's doubtful, but it's tragic it happened and that he missed 3 years of his career and we as fans missed him in defence.
Thorne (like Assambalonga) has youth on his side. He's now back...fingers crossed he stays back! Despite people having digs when Thorne got injured (he was a new signing, cost us most of our summer budget and was hyped and got injured immediately...being rivals a dig or two is understandable)...but those that did may face a few digs in return and take them on the chin.
I hope he gets back to his best and fulfills his potential.
Honestly can't see him coming back as the same player. Very few manage to overcome this, Ronaldo was one, but he took a few years and he's Ronaldo.
Known a few players who had knee/ligament surgery. Almost all had to give up a short while after returning from the long lay off.
But that's life and that's football, sometimes we condemn players who are high salaries for their mis-steps, but let's not forget it's a very short career and 1 serious injury can ruin everything.
Brian Clough was 1 such example, but at least he recovered in management what he promised as a player.
