Everton FC thrash Liverpool FC 5-0 in the mini-derby


Paul Tait has heaped praise on Everton FC’s under-18s after they produced a five star performance against Liverpool in the mini-derby.

The young Blues thrashed the Reds 5-0 at Finch Farm this morning and Tait said he was “over the moon” with his players after the impressive win.

A double from striker Calum Dyson and goals courtesy of Harry Charsley, Jack Bainbridge and Liam Walsh ensured Everton romped to victory in the Premier League u-18 clash.

The Blues established a deserved 2-0 lead at the break before reinforcing their dominance over Liverpool with three more goals in the second-half.

“I’m delighted and over the moon with them,” u-18s coach Tait told the ECHO.

“They did exactly what we asked of them in the first-half, they got on the front foot and won the battle to start with.

“Derby games, at any level, are a battle and so we said that if they could get through the battle first then when it settled down the
