    Average Age

The ages of the midfield 3 against Charlton was 19, 22 and 23.

    The 2 wingers: 23 and 22

The full backs: 22 and 25 (just)

The Centre Backs: 28 and 26

Add into the mix that Martin is only 26, Albentosa is 26, Russell is 24 and Mascarell has just turned 22 - it's pretty scary.

Our starting midfield bossed Charlton's and will boss many others before the end of the season and has an average age of 21 and 4 months.

21 and 4 months! It's unbelievable. I don't think many fans actually realise what we have here.

    The next Southampton? Hopefully.

We did average age about a year an a half ago Dave. Please keep up. And yes, you share our excitement.

That would have been a midfield of Bryson and Eustace.

    In mid-table.

    Please keep up.

    Hey Dave,

we did the average age of the entire squad. One outlier {Eustace} does very little to change an average.
And some of us could see the picture forming before the results started to catch up with the potential.
And you're talking about Lingard and Ince; Lingard signed a 3 year deal with Man Ure before driving to Derby and Ince is wanted by Hull.

    Keep up...

    Hey Ella

Bryson is 28 and Eustace is 103. It makes a massive difference to the midfield 3. About 7 years difference.

It was a thread about a midfield that dictates games. At such a young age.

re Lingard. Which is why I included Russell who is only 2 years older.

Russell is my outlier. Doesn't change the age.

Now go **** on someone else's thread.

Don't think you could keep up.

    Hey Dave!

We did the average age of the entire squad. When dealing with the entire squad, one outlier hardly affects the overall average. That's the point I was making. And I laugh at your original underlying message that you're the only one on here who has noticed how young yet good our players are {u21 and 4 months! It's unbelievable. re: Average Age

    Hi Ella..

I was on about the midfield three - the only average age I stated. Think you've missed the point entirely.

Many fans have been critical of our approach second half against Charlton and the first half vs Wednesday.

So yeah, a lot of fans don't realise just how good they are/we have it. I didn't realise they were all that young until I Googled it. Forgive me for not realising sooner...

Arrogance is swooping onto a thread, dismissing it because you apparently went through this 18 months ago (relevance?), patronising me with how you set your reply out and then claiming you was the first one to spot this - a whopping 18 months a go. Well done you.

Then telling me to keep up. There's a thread about who would make a Premier League player...again. Why not go and demonstrate you superiority all over that one as well.

We didn't have Thorne, Mascarell, Hendrick starting, Christie, Ince - Russell had only just arrived.

Where is the personal insult? Telling you to **** off?

    Yo

    re: Average Age

18 months ago all of the players were 18 months younger...what a daft retort.

DCFCcov, yes bud Hendrick/Thorne/Hughes axis of the team is frightening for the young age they are.

18 months ago Thorne was at West Brom

I do indeed agree that the future looks extremely frightening
