    Thorne Injury

I've heard a rumour (friend of a friend stuff) that George's injury is related to his knee again, and not as suggested by the club, a thigh strain.

    Really hope this is BS!!!!

    Anyone out there ITK?

If it is, I doubt we will see him again this season (if at all).

I just dont see why GT or the club would have publicly lied to cover it up if this was true.

I dont therefore place any credence to the rumour.

read a tweet on Saturday that Bent was out for the season. Again, where that one came from who knows!! I guess these things are started by Red Dogs who try to sensationalise things to cause a social media meltdown!

With hindsight (it's a wonderful thing you know) was GT overplayed? ie Saturday & Tuesday. Maybe too much too soon. Seems to have really knocked Omar's confidence too!!!

Maybe the club were unsure as to full extent of injury so said thight strain for now?

Maybe they feel **** for having pushed him to early?

just to make one thing clear, we can't blame the club for 'rushing him back too soon'. they wouldn't have let him play if there was any evidence it hadn't healed. coupled with the fact he played several games for the U21's.

it's just one of those things. we could have waited another 2 months and would probably have had the same reaction, whether it's thigh or knee.

if he is injured, mascarell will just have to man up and put in some performances. hendrick and will in midfield too - they will need to take on the responsibility.

It was almost certain that Thorne would get a secondary injury. If that's all it is, then that's cool. Hardly ever do you see a player, out for 6 months, come back and avoid pulls and strains in first month or so.

very true but by the same token players that get ligament injuries are usually suseptabke to them throughout their careers. *fingers crossed*

Yes that's true. I expect Thorne will miss more games that he plays over his career. Such a shame, potentially a real talent.
