    A fishy tale about Derby County

    One that Conor Sammon would appreciate no doubt!

    {C'mon OTR get your teeth into this one}

    Great cameo by Notts Forest by the way,

    I have just spoken to my mate Derrick, he has mast a lot of info about this, even if I think he is a bit of an awshole.

    Mind you, if he takes the pee too much he will get decked!

    It is a good job they didn't it after Hull.

    Interesting post Smelly Ella, but the 'story' has a number of inaccuracies, as you would expect from a Darby biased paper!

    The main inaccuracy being that HMT Derby County was never at any risk at any time during the Second World War.

    This was because Dahhby County Football Club had willingly made lots of very close friends in very high places!

    Shameful!

    Very, very poor taste, you're not welcome here if that's the kind of trash you're going to post.

    I wonder if they have to empty their net as often as you have to do yours.

    I wish you wouldn't harpoon about it. I'm not normally one to carp but my head will hake if you all carry on like this. By the way, have you noticed how this kind of thread brings out all the minnows from down the A52?

    "As for Derby's local rivals, it gives me no pleasure at all to report that "Notts Forest" was caught in severe gales, provoked a strike, was banned from Icelandic waters, suffered a mutiny and spent an inordinate amount of time in dry-dock"

    Sounds like your eponymous boat was more successful than your football club.

    With a shark as their owner, it was only to be expected. When it all goes belly up again, you will be able to hear the whale from miles away, shortly followed by the blubber.
