You're going to bed thinking of Rattea and the word '******'??
Hmmmmmm...![]()
To "bu**er it" apparently!
Hope it's not an inflatable rat.
When we say "Is Rattea Right", is that the fact that Derby have not improved since last season?
If we finish top 2, Rattea will have been proven wrong.
If we finish 3rd or lower, then he will have been right.
Lots of factors play a part.
Injuries / suspensions for us.
Same for opposition at the time we play them.
Standard of Championship year on year.
EG - We could have been 9 points clear with 9 games left and have a Munich type disaster which meant we didn't win another game in the season.
Therefore the only true comparison is over a full season, did we finish higher than last season.
I suppose the conundrum would be finishing 6th but winning the play offs.

But thats where you are wrong Rob ... I've always said ignore league position as its all relative to other teams. If we had two teams the strength of Fester and Burnley in this division this season they would be about promited already.
The fact that teams with minimal spending or improved squads are all in the mix. many that were close last year shows it is a weaker league this year.
My warning has been constantly to stop screamin we are top and proclaiming Eutopia! Look at the bigger picture, such as strength of opposition, patterns in dropped points, quality of signings etc.
Too many people get carried away with what appears to be in front of them and not thinking outside the box.
Its a statistical fact that the change of manager had little effect on results the team got last year. Comparing LFL illustrates this. We were consitantly good with both managers against the bottom third, Good to middling against the middle third and poor to middling against the top third. I pointed
