    Hypothetical question

The end of the season comes along. Hearts and Queen of the South win promotion. A plan for an expanded SPFL appears as if by magic. As luck would have it, it would keep us in the SPFL.
But, having worked out what it's really about, should we vote for it?

Its Scottish Football its always about self interest... so would be a no brainer .. we would vote for it. Should we vote for it for the betterment of the game? No because changing the size of the leagues never has and never will improve the product. There are far more radical things that should be done but again thru self interest never will.

    Yep, we should.

That said, it has zero chance of happening soi wouldn't worry about it.

    re: Hypothetical question

The question you pose is both hypothetical and ethical. Should the club currently in 3rd place in the Championship fail to gain promotion would reconstruction of the Premiership follow thereby assuring their promotion by default. It is possible reconstruction could occur, though at this stage is not being openly discussed.
The crux of the questions is ethics and if we hypothetically were in the relegation spot at the end of the season how should we vote?i Football is a business and maintaining a 'successful' business is part of the operation so maintaining our position in the Premiership is the goal.
Relegation and ethics are not synonymous and we have been there before (saved by a technicality) so yes if I was a director at MFC showing due diligence I would vote yes.

Given the hypotheses, would it not be the case that the 2 teams due for relegation would take priority over a team 3rd or maybe 4th in the lower league...I don't think that's how it would work!
