    Youse Cumbrians

Any of youse Cumbrians fell walkers? I'm Thinking of walking up Helvellyn via the striding edge sometime during Easter with my missus , just wondered where the best starting place is from and whether it's a bit dodgy/ dangerous for us oldies. Any help would be appreciated please.

Ain't been up there for years. We always went from glenridding. Think going jo from the Thirlmere side is easier. Striding edge is a **** when it's windy.
