    Jim Rodwell

So we have appointed Jim Rodwell as our new chief executive officer.

I have just spoken to a couple of Notts County fans about Mr Rodwell. The first one I spoke to hated him but when I pushed him as to why he didn't actually seem to know too much about him. The second was full of praise and reckoned he had improved the clubs admin side immensely. If this is true then I won't complain because that's one area we have struggled in for as long as I can remember.

So I guess we'll have to wait and see. Can't fault his opening statement to the press though.

“There is so much for S****horpe, as a town, to be excited about with the new developments that Peter Swann is planning, but at the heart of it will be a football club that I honestly believe will be challenging at the top of the Championship and hopefully beyond in years to come.”

I hear what you say and I'm not without fears regarding his appointment. On the other hand he has just had five years at Notts County and appears to have sorted out the severe financial mess caused by the Munto Finance fiasco before leaving them of his own accord.

    Only time will tell.

Rodwell did nothing really. It was the owner Ray Trew that saved Notts with his own money.
Anyway. No matter. Good luck guys.
