    Beany Injured...

Disappointed to hear that Iain Russell is going to be out for a few games just as he has regained his scoring touch, and at such a crucial part of the season as well, not the best of news ahead of tomorrow's game with Raith.

Unfortunately our injury jinx just keeps on going - almost every week we find a key player out.

Discipline is the other big variable that we really need to get right in the final quarter. Not the time to dive into silly challenges and give these over fussy officials any old excuse to wield the red card. I have hardly watched a live match on tv where there hasnt been at least one red card recently.Frankly it is becoming laughable but some of these over paid "superstars" bring it on themselves.

If we keep 11 on the park in every game we give ourselves a great chance of 4th.

Indeed. Maybe take some small consolation from the fact that the guy who's out injured this time is one of those who'd be most likely to be sent off...

Surely now it's time for Patrick Slattery to be given his chance? Different position to Russell, but he's hardly been on the bench this season, and deserves some minutes. I've watched reserve games and Dean Smith and Patrick have stood out. Both extremely technically gifted players, would be great to see us building for the future. I appreciate the fact that we must stay in the play-offs, but I think these two would easily fit in. In saying that, it's a shame to see Beany get injured, was really finding his best form again. Hopefully he'll be back to his usual self when he recovers.

Russell is a great player & will be a big miss for us . Have to agree though his reactions to tackles are a complete embarrassment at times but can't see him changing now as he's been doing it all his career .

The game tonight is massive . Lose & Falkirk win then we face the Champions away on Saturday whilst they play Dumbarton . The nightmare scenario would be 2 defeats for us & 2 wins for them which would see us slip to 5th place .

Maybe my thoughts are too pessimistic but I could happen . Then again , maybe it won't
