Has there ever been such a dramatic decline in a team ever?

    Title says it all.

No movement, no urgency, no tactics ...hoof ball.

    Awful..just so awful

    This team didn't want it...,why?

Good questions and I have no insight into why. I have to say it reminded me of how England played under McClaren.

The game needs to be played at pace otherwise it is too easy for the opposition to sit-back and read and cut out passes. To be frank we had some pretty poor performances before we had this bad run of results e.g Leeds away, Forest at home, Boro away.

I think McClaren over complicates the game.

We've been poor for awhile now. I'm actually quite relieved it's over.

At last the Rat has been shown to be right. He's said all along that this is Clough's team and today they played like he was still managing them.

Well done Rat boy, probably the only happy poster on here today save for any marauding trees that may turn up.

I seriously cannot remember such a dramatic decline by any team ever...

Strangely enough Newcastle's form, with 8 consecutive defeats, and heading into the relegation zone could be equally dramatic.

Seems the uncertainty over Steve either leaving or joining has a similar negative effect on form. Curious.

Say we had got the point we needed today.. are we really good enough to go up?
Sure I'd take it like any die hard fan and once your there who knows what could happen but the fact remains since early march our results and play overall has been nothing short of relegation form.

We don't deserve to be in there and IMO it's time for a huge change both on and off the pitch

Here's a question. Coughs time has a number of purple patches and the slides. Who has been responsible for the most dramatic of these tho clough or mcclaren?

I have to say that I feel relieved that we never made it as well.

We had no tactics, no shape and no heart in the end. The team's nerves were completely shot weeks ago. Ince and Bent were the only reasons we were still in contention.

I think now there is a real danger that we could slip into freefall and go the way of Wigan next year.

For me, at the very least we need a change of captain, the sale of Will Hughes to the highest bidder so that we can buy a commanding cb and at least one striker and finding a replacement for John Eustace. And not to forget a goalkeeper who will challenge Lee Grant.

Changes will and should occur it's just a question of how radical and wholesale they will be. Very interesting times.
