    Will he stay or go?

Newcastle Chronicle reporting McClaren has turned down the opportunity of taking the reins for Toon's last three matches. Does this mean he's staying with the Rams or taking over at NUFC next season??

If Newcastle do go down he will not want to be associated the stigma of relegation.
The longest losing streak for the Geordies is 10 games in a row back in the seventies. They could go on to beat that record this season so better to take over as the saviour after the end of the season.
I think they will struggle over the line and survive but to me the last 2 months show Macs limitations more than the fact that we have had a few injuries.
Most of the United and Wednesday fans I know who watched that match on Saturday could not believe the difference between that game and how we played earlier in the season.
Its time for a new start without Mac even if Newcastle cool their interest.

re: Will he stay or go?

I have no problem with him staying.
However if as it is being reported up north that he doesn't want to take on the last 3 games but hasn't ruled himself out of the job, where does that leave Derby. Waiting until the time is right - for him.

If he doesn't go now, his management of this saga suggests we'd be worried every time any PL job came up.

The whole episode is starting to leave a real bad taste.
