I refer to my post of yesterday about hating all the "ignorant" speculation concerning our management hierarchy. By ignorant I do not mean to to insult, but merely refer to it as ill informed, third hand or of "a mate down the pub said..." in character.

So now we have unequivocal statements that he's been sacked, equally confident ones saying he hasn't, some inferring that a deal has been done, others that one hasn't!

We have a majority of opinion saying they are glad he is going, some wishing well, others not. We have rat longing to axe Rush as well and get Clough back probably, we have others condemning his appointment in the first place...

So what will we all think if he actually stays? Is this a possibility or have bridges been burned totally now? This could change from being "lets get 2 million off Ashley" into "lets pay 2 million to get rid" in no time. Then what transfer budget do we have.

I find it all quite amusing really. I got the impression he wasn't going to stay too long anyhow, so what if he goes now or later? In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter really.

It's odd isn't it, that nearly one year ago we were all getting ready to go to Wembley for the chance to be in the Premier League. And now we are sitting around after the worst two month capitulation I have ever seen a Derby side make, with no idea who our manager is.

You can put ya house on it that Mclaren will not be with us by the end of the weekend. Maybe even today. I mean how the hell can he after all this going on. He wanted to go to Newcastle. He now has his wish. He played us like a good un. After we took him off the scrap heap and gave him a job which he said he always wanted. Yeah, as far as i'm aware it's GSE that might get the re-shuffle, not the owners reducing their commitment.

Edited the post above. Stuck to posting opinions from local journalists. They seem to be taking a bashing over this, but i have a feeling from reading a lot of bull**** that they might be as close to anyone on this.

It might be that the sticking point is the negotiations over compensation - they want McClaren to fall on his sword, he wants paying off!
