Whilst he is clearly a gonner , can you provide ONE piece of evidence that he courted a number of clubs?
Is the decision to change things because of his 'disloyalty' or because of the poor performances at the end of the season?

Sky sports are reporting that he and his agents are now haggling/demanding a "substantial" pay off to be relieved of his tenure at DCFC.
Is this what the world and football has come too??!!!
He has court and coverted attention from a number of clubs, particularly Newcastle, for the last 6 months or more, flirted and toyed with reporters with all of the attention he was getting, whilst telling us that he and his team of Eric and Simmo were derby thru and thru, as the management team was "sold" to us when they started.
The vast majority of us bought into the notion that this was different, that we were all in this together, but Steve obviously wasn't.
He is really starting to **** many of us off with the way he has conducted himself lately, but especially now, wanting to take this club to the cleaners. We, who have given him so much. He not only played for us, he started his successful coaching career under Jim Smith here and has re-inventing himself here as a changed man from that

you cant blame him for trying to get the best serverence deal he can get, we would all do that...
What he does risk and has risked is becomng tarnished goods.. Those in the know in football will know the truth of how he has handled himself.. If he is being a bellend then his next job might just be at Asda.

Also he could end up nowhere justall bridges burned; ie not at Derby and not at Newcastle either. Both clubs might feel messed around although we'll never know what happened.
I am sad to see him go but it's clear things haven't been right for months and this kind of situation isn't good for the players who need clear direction when they report back for pre season training.
So let's hope things are sorted soon
If its true what you say then he risks being the next billy davies!
If his demand is for his whole contract to be paid up then we should keep him on and stick him on gardening leave...but then its not my money, least Newcastle and wet spam won't get him...unless they pay off his gardening contract![]()
lets hope we wipe slate clean quickly

Oh if was only that simple Swale...
It is, but some want to make things emotional (I understand that as a fan) but in the cold light of day they work for money not because they are fans of the club and I don't believe any of the badge kissing, love this club, its the right fit ******** which players managers and coaches spout!!
absolutely, a fair but not very uplifting assesment of the modern gameOriginally Posted by swaledale
